“Career Counseling Centre, STES Lonavala”, has been established at Lonavala campus for the holistic development of students. With the inspiration of the honorable Prof. M.N. Navale , Founder President of the institute and under the guidance of Dr. M.S. Gaikwad, Campus Director, Vice Principal Dr. D. D. Chaudhary, it has started working from AY.2020-21. The Purpose to establish such a centre is to provide necessary guidance to students about the competitive examinations and develop employability skills to face the challenges of the new era.
All the colleges of Lonavala campus are the members of this centre. Prof. Mayur Raut is working as a central coordinator and every college has appointed a college coordinator and co-coordinators and students’ representatives for various sub committees. Under this Centre in our college, we have established a sub-centre entitled as, “CCC-SIT-Lonavala”. Every Friday centre holds meeting to take a review of last week work as well as proposed activities of next week.
All the co-coordinators of this center working enthusiastically and actively since the establishment. Under this Centre, we arrange various activities such as Webinars, Conferences, Guidance of experts like IAS, IPS, recognize people from society and industry etc. It has also started various foreign language (German, French, and Japanese) certificate courses to make students multilingual and find a bright career in multinational companies.
This centre celebrates various days’ like Mahila Din, Yoga Day etc. It also conducted tree plantation in-campus to keep the environment clean and neat. Under this centre, quiz series is conducted for all the days of the week for all the students of the campus. It is decided that each college will hold a quiz on one day of the week. SIT Lonavala is conducting quiz on every ‘Friday’ and allotted topics are “Higher Education” and “Banking Examination”. It has been decided that the centre will work for students' overall personality enhancement in forthcoming years also.
